To submit an app repeatedly, credits are necessary
So that an app can be updated again in one of the two App Stores, you will receive a contingent of so-called credits from us. These allow you to submit new apps to customers if these changes make it necessary:
- Using a new app icon*
- Uploading a new splash screen**
- Change the app name or
- Activation of In-App registration via Facebook
* and **: The app should be completely finished before it is submitted. Especially the app icon and the splash screen should be selected correctly from the beginning, because every new submission requires a credit.
Where can I find the credits in the Reseller Center?
As soon as you or your customers submit an app to an App Store again, a credit is automatically used for it.
Under Publish > Publishing Status you will find the credit quota that we have made available for you. Here shown as Resubmission credits. In the current test phase, you will receive a total of eight credits (four resubmissions for each App Store, so to speak). After the test phase we will adjust the number of credits according to your contract. If you or your customers need additional credits, you can purchase them directly from the Reseller Center at any time. Click on the Buy Credits button which will automatically appear when you run out of credits.
How many credits do I have to start with?
As a reseller, we provide you with 8 credits at the beginning, which you can use to submit to the App Stores.
I have created a customer app and would like to submit it for the first time. Are credits required for this?
No, if you submit an app for the first time, no credits will be used. The first submission is of course included in your reseller plan. You only need credits if you want to re-submit the app again due to the reasons mentioned above.
I have created a customer PWA. Are credits necessary for this?
No, because the PWA does not have to be submitted to an App Store. The credit limit only applies to native apps whose plans contain the submission service.
The app has been rejected. What happens to the used credit?
If the customer’s app is rejected, the credit will of course be refunded. Only if the submission is successful, it will be deducted from the quota.
Note
No credits will be used if the app has to be resubmitted due to technical requirements on the part of the App Stores. All updates that ensure that your customers’ apps continue to comply with these technical requirements must be considered separately from the credits.
