You can configure under which domain your customers can reach your CMS. To do this, go to My account > White Label CMS.
- Choose and save a subdomain: you can choose your subdomain freely. If you for example want to use the subdomain “my-app-business”, your clients will be able to log into your CMS under https://my-app-business.cms.apptivate.it
- Use a custom domain: if you choose to use your own domain (like https://login.my-app-business.net) please read the instructions in the app builder and follow additional instructions of your domain provider.
Your domain will be SSL encrypted to make sure that personal details won’t be passed on to a third party. If you type http://login.my-app-business.net into your browser there will be an automatically redirection to https://login.my-app-business.net. The s stands for the encrypted communication. You have to authenticate in order to generate the SSL Certificate and to use it for your domain. To get the authentication you have to enter an CNAME record on your domain. For the example shown above the correct adjustment is: login.my-app-business.net IN CNAME cms.apptivate.it. Please note that the CNAME record must point to cms.apptivate.it.
You can also define a default domain for your web apps. By doing so all your web apps will be under different subdomains of a single custom top level domain. Please read the instructions in the app builder and follow additional instructions of your domain provider. Bear in mind that not all domain providers support Wildcard CNAME DNS records.
After publishing an app the custom domain will be automatically added to your web app. You are free to change the domain for individual apps by clicking on “Use your own domain”.
Bear in mind that a custom domain cannot be added to apps with Reseller Branding.
If you have not added a default web app domain, the apps will be accessible under the apptivate.it-domain. You are free to use an individual custom domain by clicking on “Use your own domain”.
