What is a webhook?
A webhook is a HTTP-POST interface. If an action (or trigger) takes place on a server, the server communicates via a webhook with another server and causes an action to occur. Example: When an app is created on your platform (the trigger), the server sends a webhook request to an email platform, which sends an email to the customer.
Using Zapier
When using webhooks, a developer is not always necessary. The integration platform zapier.com allows you to connect many services via webhook. To use a webhook from AppYourself in Zapier, use “Webhooks” – “Catch Webhook” as “Trigger” in Zapier. Enter the Webhook URL specified by Zapier in the appropriate fields in your Reseller Administration under My account > Webhooks.
We provide the following webhooks when setting up your account:
Note: You can change the sender address of the mails at any time under My account > Webhooks (e.g. in no-reply@{YOUR_COMPANY}.com)
FORGOT_PASSWORD_EMAIL:
You or your customer will receive a link by e-mail to create a new password when you click on “Forgot password” in the login area.
CHAT_NOTIFICATION:
Your customer will be notified of incoming chat messages
EMAIL_VALIDATION:
This webhook is used to verify the newly created customer
CUSTOMER_CREATED:
This webhook is responsible for sending a welcome email to newly created customers
NONWEBKIT_PAGE_EMAIL:
Via Preview > QR-Code > Open you can send a link to the trial version of the app to the customer. This webhook enables shipping
MARKETING_PAGES_SHARE_APP_EMAIL:
This webhook allows you to share the live version of the app.
FROM_APP_MODULES_EMAIL:
This webhook enables the sending of customer requests by e-mail from the modules “Feedback, Shop, Forms, Appointment request, General request”
