What are permissions?
You decide exactly what each customer can edit in his app. If a customer is not allowed to add or remove modules or change the content within the modules then you can turn off the specific permission. A description of the individual permissions can be found here.
Under My account > Permissions you can set the default setting or rights for new customers. The first part of the authorizations (Permission) allows you to activate or deactivate main actions such as customer registration, self-submission or asking for customer’s telephone number. In the second area (Default permission for new customer), you define the standard authorizations for newly created customers. Each customer will initially have these authorizations.
Create a customer account for your customer under My Account > Customer List > New Customer > Customer List. Enter the name, e-mail address and optionally a password. You can also activate the Send welcome mail checkbox. Then click on the Create button. Your customer receives the welcome mail with an activation link, which he must confirm. Once he has done this, he will appear under Customers with Applications.
Rights in the Customer List
Under Customer list you see a table with four columns. The third column shows the status of the four most important rights.
Example: You have a customer who sends push notifications, but you may not create any more apps in the construction kit, change the master data of the app (e.g. background image, app name) or add any new modules to the existing app. Then set up the permissions as follows:

A pop-up window appears with all authorizations, which are divided into six sections.
1. Permission to add or remove module
If you have given the customer the right to add or delete modules, you can define these rights more precisely for each individual module here. If the customer is to be authorized to add or delete all modules, the right “Add/delete modules” as well as all rights of this group must be allowed.
2. Permission to modify module’s configuration and design
Here you define for which modules the customer may change the content of the module.
Note: If you want to allow the customer to edit request modules (forms), you must also give the customer the right to add these modules (section 2).
3. Permissions to create, remove or modify module’s list contents
These permissions are responsible for the content of certain modules such as shop, product catalogue, events, vouchers or gallery. They should be activated together with the respective permissions in section 2 if the customer is allowed to change the contents of these modules. Otherwise, only the name and icon of the module can be changed by the customer.

6. Other permissions
If you want to give the customer the right to submit apps themselves or to order the submission service, you can define the rights here as well as for some other actions such as viewing app statistics, sending messages and modifying the tab “Shop Settings” in the shop module.
If a customer should manage a shop independently, the modules “Shop”, “Price list” “Product catalogue” and “Branch finder” in sections 1, 2, 3 and “Change shop settings” in section 6 must be activated.

Rights for employees
Do you have an employee who is responsible for creating your apps? If so, enter him as a customer and assign all rights to him.
AppYourself Design Service
If you want to use the AppYourself design service, add a new customer with the email email@example.com and assign all rights to him. A member of the design team can now log in and create apps directly in your account.
